Since October, the City of Torino has introduced a new way to get around: the autonomous shuttle, AuToMove!
Don’t miss the chance to hop on board: book your trip now and experience the mobility of the future.

How to participate?
The AuToMove service is completely free, but a reservation is required through the Wetaxi app, by selecting the AuToMove service. The service is available Monday to Saturday, from 10:30 AM to 4:00 PM (except on Friday).

The route, about 3 km long, covers the area of the Luigi Einaudi Campus of the University of Torino, forming a loop that crosses Corso Tortona, Corso Regina Margherita, and Lungo Dora Siena, with a total of 5 stops.

The experimental service will remain active until March 31, 2026.

AuToMove: A step towards the future
AuToMove is a level SAE 4 autonomous electric vehicle, designed to offer innovative and sustainable urban transport. Thanks to its compatibility with V2X infrastructure, the shuttle can autonomously cross traffic lights, optimizing travel times and increasing safety while minimizing human intervention. Despite the vehicle’s autonomy, a safety driver is always on board — a GTT operator specially trained for autonomous driving, whose role is to supervise the vehicle’s proper operation and intervene if necessary (e.g., in case of obstacles).

The trial of the AuToMove shuttle is not only a great opportunity for the citizens of Turin to experience something unique but also represents an important step in the evolution of urban public transport. Thanks to this project, citizens have the chance to directly contribute to creating a more modern, efficient, and sustainable urban mobility system.

The Living Lab ToMove of the City of Torino is funded by the Department for Digital Transformation, with funds from the National Plan for Complementary Investments to the PNRR (PNC-A.1-N1, Measure 1.4.6).
